Cisco Releases Security Advisory for Cisco IOS Software Session Initiation Protocol

Cisco has released a security advisory to address a vulnerability in Cisco IOS Software Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a memory leak or a device reload, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.

US-CERT encourages users and administrators to review Cisco Security Advisory cisco-sa-20131106-sip and follow best practice security policies to determine if their organization is affected and the appropriate response.
