Chair, My-Ngoc Nguyen
My-Ngoc Nguyen (pronounced Menop Wynn) brings over 15 years of experience in Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) and Cyber Security. She has developed and managed programs for both the federal government and private sector. My-Ngoc is experienced in IT security and risk methodologies, and legal and compliance programs. Along with a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, she carries top security certifications to include; CISSP, GPEN, GCIH and is a former QSA. Additionally, she is a Certified Instructor for the SANS institute, an organization that conducts Cyber Security research and training. She is an active member of the FBI’s InfraGard, the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, (ISC)² and is the State of Nevada’s awareness lead for the Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) program.
Vice-Chair, Chris Wilding
Chris has a strong pedigree of leadership experience with large IT operations and is a renowned thought leader in the area of business and technology. He’s the co-owner and president of Secured IT Solutions, where he serves his clients as a management and technology consultant. He previously held the Chief Information Officer (CIO) position at the City of Henderson, NV, where he was responsible for effective delivery of information technology services to the City’s departments. Prior to that, Chris held CIO positions with Bechtel on U.S. Department of Energy nuclear programs in the USA and internationally on large-scale international projects, within the oil & gas, civil, power and transportation sectors.
Secretary, Conrad Larkin
Conrad Larkin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has spent his career in the public sector, first in the federal ranks and then at the local level. He started his career in 1991 as a PC technician and moved up to Novell server administration, obtaining several certifications in the process. After moving to the City of North Las Vegas as a Novell server administrator, he was asked to fill the security role at the City. He currently is the Information Security Administrator for the City. He currently holds the GSEC security certification.
Director of Private Sector, Collin Montenegro
Collin Montenegro is a cybersecurity professional with over 7 years of IT experience, 4 of those years in way of cybersecurity. Collin is an avid lover of all things cyber and is constantly researching, studying, and working on cyber-related projects to remain on the up and up. He currently holds a Master`s Degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, and over 14 industry recognized certifications including GSEC, GCFE, GCCC, and CEH. He is currently an Information System Security Officer supporting the U.S. Department of Energy. Collin is also the founder/creator of a local Las Vegas Cybersecurity Meetup group, and the leader of DEF CON’s DC702 group, that goes by the name of “Shad0w Synd1cate”. Shad0w Synd1cate’s vision is to bring the community together to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity. They conduct monthly meetups that consist of hands-on workshops, presentations, Capture-The-Flag events, and more! The group currently has ~400 members and is open to all who are interested regardless of experience.
Director of Public Sector, Jeramie Brown
Jeramie Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science and a Master of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Assurance from University of Maryland University College, and is a life-time member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Upsilon Pi Epsilon, and Alpha Sigma Lambda honor societies. He has 24-years of Air Force Public Affairs experience and 15 years experience in a variety of IT roles including desktop support, network administration, and information assurance/security. Jeramie is the Information Security Officer for Nevada Department of Transportation, holds a voting position on the State Information Security Committee which sets Information Security Policy for the State of Nevada, and is helping lead the charge to improve the State of Nevada’s IT Security future. He is also an avid supporter of ongoing information security awareness education for people of all ages and experience levels.
Treasurer, Cynthia Hara

Cynthia is a cyber security enthusiast, currently working at Palo Alto Networks as the dedicated Public Sector Account Manager for Nevada and Arizona. She works closely with state and local government to achieve their security initiatives with additional experience in project and relationship management. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Information Systems and double minoring in Spanish and Integrated Marketing Communications. In addition to her day job, she also has a passion for working with children. Most recently, Cynthia is a mentor for Clark County School District’s Stay in School program and member of National Center for Women in IT (NCWIT) for the Nevada chapter.
