What are we?

A registered non-profit organization to provide oversight and stewardship of a cyber security awareness program for Nevada people and businesses.

Our Vision:
A Nevada capable of meeting the cybersecurity challenges of today and tomorrow.




Who are we?

A group of professionals from both the private and public sectors who have a passion for helping reduce the harmful impacts of today’s cyber threats.

Our Mission:
Through education and awareness, strengthen Nevada’s residents’ and businesses’ understanding of safe, responsible and secure computing and Internet practices.

Where are we going?

Our primary tool for enhancing for fulfilling our mission is our website at www.cybersafenv.org.

We are in the process of building out this site, establishing sponsorships and putting together our marketing and business plans.

My-Ngoc Nguyen (pronounced Mee-Nop Wynn) is the CEO/Principal Consultant for Secured IT Solutions. She brings 20 years of experience in information systems and technology, with over 15 years focused on cyber security for both the government and commercial sectors. My-Ngoc is highly experienced in IT security and risk methodologies as well as in legal and compliance programs. She is a Certified Instructor with SANS Institute and can be found regularly teaching MGT512: Security Leadership Essentials for Managers.

He’s the Chief Operating Officer of Secured IT Solutions, where he serves his clients as a management and technology consultant and is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the company.  He previously held several Chief Information Officer (CIO) positions at federal government operations such as the Nevada National Security Site, local government agencies such as the City of Long Beach and the City of Henderson, and commercial companies, such as Bechtel on U.S. Department of Energy nuclear programs in the USA and internationally on large-scale international projects, within the oil & gas, civil, power and transportation sectors.

Secretary – Jermie Brown

Jeramie Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science and a Master of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Assurance from University of Maryland University College, and is a life-time member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Upsilon Pi Epsilon, and Alpha Sigma Lambda honor societies. He has 24-years of Air Force Public Affairs experience and 15 years experience in a variety of IT roles including desktop support, network administration, and information assurance/security. Jeramie is the Information Security Officer for Nevada Department of Transportation, holds a voting position on the State Information Security Committee which sets Information Security Policy for the State of Nevada, and is helping lead the charge to improve the State of Nevada’s IT Security future. He is also an avid supporter of ongoing information security awareness education for people of all ages and experience levels.

Conrad Larkin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has spent his career in the public sector, first in the federal ranks and then at the local level. He started his career in 1991 as a PC technician and moved up to Novell server administration, obtaining several certifications in the process. After moving to the City of North Las Vegas as a Novell server administrator, he was asked to fill the security role at the City. He currently is the Information Security Administrator for the City. He currently holds the multiple SANS/GIAC security certifications.

With several certifications, including CompTIA Security+, Cyber Defense Analyst Specialist, and Penetration Testing Certification (PACT), Charles has a strong foundation in cybersecurity. He has served in various roles within the federal government since 2005, focusing on organizational management, training, and cybersecurity strategy. His experience also includes serving as an IT Security Administrator for a casino group and owning two small businesses.
